Cancellation Policy
Reservations can be canceled or amended up to 3-days prior to arrival, after this we will charge a cancellation fee equivalent to all of the first affected night and 75% of the remaining nights unless we can re-sell them. Any variation in our standard cancellation policy will be made in writing. We recommend that all guests purchase appropriate travel or holiday insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances resulting in a cancellation charge.
Parking
The Old Vicarage has a limited number of "off-road" parking spaces a small number of which can be reserved. For prices and availability contact us on 03333 441188 or by email on mail@theoldvicaragebridgwater.com. Please be aware that you park your vehicle entirely at your own risk and the hotel will not accept any liability for loss or damage whilst parked on our property regardless of circumstances or fault.
Smoking Policy
The Old Vicarage is a "NON-SMOKING" establishment. In addition to this, from 1st July 2007, it will be against the law to
smoke anywhere within the property, including all guest bedrooms which have been designated as "non-smoking" in line with the Heath Act 2006.
In addition to the indoor areas of the property, our garden and patio have also been designated as smoke free areas.
In line with penalties outlined under the Health Act 2006, a charge of up to £250.00 will be made against any guest who we believe to have smoked in
a non-smoking area. In the worst cases, if we feel that a room is unable to be re-let due to smoking in the room, we reserve the right
to charge the guest any additional night's additional accommodation we feel necessary to rectify the matter.
Arrival and Departure Times
Guest bedrooms are available for arrival from 3:30pm until 10:30pm. The Old Vicarage does not operate a 24-hour reception and any guest not arriving by 10:30pm will be
unable to check-in, but will still be charged in full.
Where requested in advance it may be possible to arrange for a guest bedroom to be available for arrival early (12-noon at the earliest, subject to availability). This can be booked online or directly with the hotel. A charge of £15.00 applies.
10:30am is the latest time you must vacate your room on the day you depart. An extended departure time (up to 12-noon, subject to availability) can bee booked on-line or directly with us. Please note that an automatic charge of £15.00 per hour is made for guests who have depart after 10:30am without arrangement.
Meal Services & Bar
Details of our food & beverage services can be found on the Dining page of this website, but basically, simple evening meals are available until 9pm every day except Sunday. Our bar is also open to guests offering a basic range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Our bar closes once everyone has finished dinner or at 10pm, whichever comes first. As a town centre property, we are particularly close to a wide selection of restaurants and bars, which we are more than happy to give advice about.

Shopping
Bridgwater offers a convenient mixture of "town centre" and "out of town" shopping areas. The Old Vicarage is just a minute or two's walk from the main shopping streets, where you'll find a good mix of local and nationally branded shops. Just out of the centre you'll also find a number of retail, commercial and industrial outlets and parks selling almost everything you ever wanted to buy. If you're feeling particularly adventurous take a drive to nearby "Street" where the well known outlet centre "Clark's Village" is a great place to shop till you drop.
Pets
The Old Vicarage is home to Lucy & Lobby the cats, who definitely think they own the place. Unfortunately both cats become distressed around other animals and for this reason we are unable to accommodate pets or animals of any sort (with the exception of assistance animals.)
Computers & the internet
A wireless internet service is available in most of our guest bedrooms as well as our public areas. A small connection fee applies.
Families
Families are welcome at the Old Vicarage. We have a family suite with 1 x double bedroom and 1 x twin bedroom which is idea for a family of up to four people. An extra child's bed is also available. Please refer to our tariff for current pricing. The Old Vicarage does not provide specific facilities for infants such as cots and high chairs.
Left property
From time to time our guests do forget to take things with them when they leave or in some cases, leave them as "unwanted". If we spot it in time, we'll try to call you to let you know. Otherwise they are held in our housekeeping office for a few days (maximum 7) to see if they are still wanted. If you do leave something and would like it back, please give us a call and we will be happy to send it back to you, if we still have the item. We charge £10.00 plus postage & packaging to send items back, or nothing at all if you provide the packaging & correct postage. Don't forget that the Old Vicarage can not take liability for your personal possessions at any time including during the returns process.
