Cancellation PolicyReservations can be canceled or amended up to 3-days prior to arrival, after this we will charge a cancellation fee equivalent to all of the first affected night and 75% of the remaining nights unless we can re-sell them. Any variation in our standard cancellation policy will be made in writing. We recommend that all guests purchase appropriate travel or holiday insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances resulting in a cancellation charge. Property status and ratingThe Old Vicarage sits very comfortably between the Hotel and Guest House catagories. In reality this means guests get the best of both worlds. You can expect a property with charm, character and a homely feel but with the advantage of facilities and services that you might expect from a hotel such as direct dial telephones, WIFI Internet, a small residents bestro and bar, business services from our reception, access to meeting facilities and the option of corporate accounts for those companies with regular business in Bridgwater. As far as ratings, you can expect the quality and standards associated with 4 stars on the guest accommodation scale and the facilities you might expect from a 2 star hotel. ParkingThe Old Vicarage has a limited number of "off-road" parking spaces a small number of which can be reserved. Please be aware that you park your vehicle entirely at your own risk and the hotel will not accept any liability for loss or damage whilst parked on our property regardless of circumstances or fault. Smoking PolicyThe Old Vicarage is a "NON-SMOKING" establishment. In addition to this,
from 1st July 2007, it became unlawful to smoke anywhere within the
property, including all guest bedrooms which have been designated as
"non-smoking" in line with the Heath Act 2006. In addition to the indoor
areas of the property, our garden and patio have also been designated as
smoke free areas. Arrival and Departure TimesGuest bedrooms are available for arrival from 3:30pm until 10:30pm. The
Old Vicarage does not operate a 24-hour reception and any guest not
arriving by 10:30pm will be unable to check-in, but will still be charged
in full. Meal Services & BarDetails of our food & beverage services can be found on the Dining page of this website, but basically, simple evening meals are available until 9pm every day except Sunday. Our bar is also open to guests offering a basic range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Our bar closes once everyone has finished dinner or at 10pm, whichever comes first. As a town centre property, we are particularly close to a wide selection of restaurants and bars, which we are more than happy to give advice about. Public TransportReaching Bridgwater by public transport couldn't be easier. For timetable information call 0870 6082608 or log-on to www.traveline.org.uk ShoppingIn the town centre, Bridgwater has all of the esential shops you might during your stay including pharmacies, banks, a post office etc etc. In addition to the town centre there is a small retail estate with computer stores, an Argos, McDonalds a supermarket and petrol station. Further afield, Bridgwater is in easy distance From clarks Outlet Village with a huge variety of clothing, home-goods, electronic and other shops at discounted prices. PetsThe Old Vicarage is home to Lucy, Luby and Mr Scraggles, our three cats. For the sake of their pieceful enjoyment we regret that we are unable to accommodate pets other than assistance animals. Internet AccessWIFI internet access is available throughout the property with a cabled service possible on request. A small access charges applies. For those who don't bring their computer but need to check emails or find train times etc, we are happy for you to use our recption computer during quiet times. Child PolicyAlthough we are happy to welcome all guests to the Old Vicarage, we do not have facilities specifically designed for younger guests such as highchairs or cots. It should also be noted that our rates are not age specific with charges applying for all guests regardless of their age. The Old Vicarage does not cater for unacompanied guests under the age of 18. Lost PropertyWe do ask guests to make sure they take all of their belongings upon departure and advise that we will not be held reqponsible for either the safe keeping or return of items a guest leaves in their room. Having said that, we will certainly do our best to get your property back to you should you inadvertantly leave it behind. Please contact us as quickly as you can once you realise you've left something behind to prevent us disposing of it then let us know how you'd like to retrieve it. You can pick it up free of charge or we can post it back to you at the cost of £10.00, plus postage and packaging. |
